Over 15 yrs on and the reunion is set to be one for the history books again ,
Sterns was one of the original pioneering rave clubs in the UK and for those of
us who experienced it week in week out will know that nothing has ever come
close to those times in the scene since and probably never will
This was the club and time when the birth of the rave scene in the UK was first
forming and many of the regulars have gone on with the inspiration that sterns
gave them, to follow on with careers in the music industry . The flyers , the
tunes , the Djs , the car park afterwards the road blocked traffic every
Saturday night on this hill in the depths of Worthing, this was the rave scene
in it's finest moment!!
The following DJ's played regularly, some even played their first sets at
Sterns, so a lot of great times, ground breaking stuff and all on the South
Coast of England.
The huge number, range and variety of DJs and performers that have graced
Sterns is testament to its place in Rave and Hardcore folklore.

Sterns was a nightclub located on Highdown Hill in Worthing, West Sussex on the
South Downs off the A259 road just north of Ferring. It was a rare example of
an early UK club boasting 4 separate rooms with DJs playing Rave, Breakbeat
hardcore, Jungle music, Techno, Progressive House, Hard House and Garage.
Although Sterns had played such music before, the most famous club nights were
started in 1991 by a promotions company named In-ter-dance run by Mensa
(R.I.P). Such was the club nights' reputation that it was credited by a number
of artists on their record sleeves, was one of the most well known
Rave/Hardcore clubs in Europe and was regularly visited by clubbers from all
over the UK.

If you have been to an all night event over the past 10 years, it would be a simple fact that you would have attended one of these parties. We’re talking about names like UTOPIA, HARD WARS, GODSPEED, HELTER SKELTER, PROPHECY, HYPERSPEED, MANIC and more. The two biggest, boldest and most creative party organisations - Powerhouse Productions (the creators of UTOPIA events) and Overdrive Australia (creators of HARD WARS) are teaming up with Masif, Fantasia and Anthems to create a totally immersive party environment. A Revolution in Sight and Sound
Party technology has advanced over the last decade, with increased laser power and brightness, improvements in the turbo sound systems, and enhancements in the way the intelligent lighting systems are programmed and operated. Both Powerhouse and Overdrive have stayed at the very leading edge of this technology, utilising each advancement to help enhance and expand our total entertainment packages.
As a punter you can expect a blinding array of party technology, spread across the biggest venues we have ever used. Video display screens as large as a family home, full colour and argon laser systems capable of taking the Death Star out of commission, intelligent and effect lighting so advanced it will dramatically alter your very perception.
A Revolution in Venue Design
Our chosen venues represent the largest venues of their kind that we have ever used. In total we’re talking about floor space the size of two football fields, a floor space capable of accommodating many thousands of people. We are using our years of advanced party knowledge to create enjoyable spaces for our patrons to dance, to chill, to go on rides and to have an absolutely amazing time.
Also we have chosen these areas specifically so we can crank the sound. Our venues are positioned such that they are the furthest from the local community and as such they enable the sound system to be loud all night. DOOR POLICY

• Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry.
• Promoter reserves the right to remove anyone breaking the rules from the event.
• No Lads or Lad Clothing. Example - Striped polo shirts or Skin Baseball caps.
• Anyone wearing prohibited clothing inside the venue will be removed from the event.
Weapons, illegal drugs, alcohol and chewing gum are prohibited.
• Markers and all graffiti tools are strictly prohibited. Anyone found to have these items on them will be refused entry.
• If you’re not coming for the love of the music and the scene then please don’t come.
• Our Security and Local Police will ensure these policies are enforced
throughout the event.
DRESS THE PART – GO FLUORO
UNITY 2008 will bring together the best International and Australian acts, in a party with what we believe will have the best vibe of any event throughout 2008. Just think of it, this is the launch of the Summer Party Season. We want our thousands of party people to get in the spirit of Summer, go full on mental fluoro. It’s time to get bright and happy. The darkness has departed, winter is behind us and we’re all about partying hard and having a mad time. So here’s the deal: get dressed in fluoro, or white, or orange, or whatever, as long as you’re dressed bright and happy. We’ve brought back the giant UV cannons from our previous events, and with all our crowd dressed the part to party our main arena is going to be brighter than the surface of the sun.
Special prizes will be awarded to the best and brightest dressed on the night! Prizes for best dressed will be issued at the door on arrival, winners of these prizes will get the chance to dance on the main stage in front of thousands of people.

A native of Seattle, DJ Goner started mixing in 1996 playing rave parties and
clubs all over the northwest. He
had his first residency in 1997 at Power Plant night club where he played
breaks and hip hop every Friday
and Saturday night for almost a year. Goner switched from breaks to Chicago
hard house and became one of
the first and only Chicago hard house dj's in the northwest, bangin up dance
floors at almost every rave
event until he moved to Atlanta in 99 to further his dj career. Once in Atlanta
he found out that he was the
only Chicago hard house dj there so he started getting bookings all over the
south with his hard house/Juke
sound. Goner now resides back in seattle and is playing everything from bangin
electro house to minimal
techno to juke. In the 12 years of mixing DjGoner has played all over the U.S.
from Seattle, Memphis,
St.Paul, Atlanta, Portland, San Diego, Sacramento, Vancouver and Victoria BC
