after looking at the amazing line up for weeks i finally went to absolute hardcore in bristol on saturday night. paid my £15 entrance fee on the door and the second i stepped into the club there's posters everywhere announcing that scott brown and styles have cancelled their sets. this happened in slinky's the last time i was out in bristol, again two of the main dj's didnt make it to the venue and nobody was told about it till they got inside. i'm not complaining about the night because all the dj's and my's were on top form ( big up whizzkid for his superman shouts ) and everyone had a wicked time, i just wanted to know if anyone else is being promised line-ups that never seem to happen .... or could it just be us poor guys bristol!
where's all the noise all the girls all the boys!

It's happened to me numerous times in my 10+ years of raving. DJ's are people too. Sometimes we miss work due to illness, emergency, or other unavoidable circumstances. There are also situations in which promoters put a few "big names" on a flyer to draw the crowd without ever actually booking the DJ's. It's then easy to just blame said DJ's for not turning up.
