Hi all!
i was wondering about pressings,i have gotten too know that even some recent releases only within a few weeks can became then difficult too get hold of,supposedly because of everyones so geared up too buy current releases always..
there should be more efforts too keep more the recent,semi-recent releases of at least the strong and popular labels like,next generation-blatant beats and essential platinum in particular...
any thoughts on this!?

Labels press the amount of records they expect they can sell. If they sell out quicker than they anticipated then a repress is basically guaranteed, but everything takes time. Don't forget that there are also a bunch of smaller stores on the net so if bigger shops like here, IMO or Nu Energy run out of a record check all the stores in the links section or just google it and something may come up.

Hardcore does not sell massive amounts of vinyl, labels can't really lose money on any release otherwise there is no next release (yes it's that tight), so if you risk a re-press you might not sell any of them, and you have just lose all your money and you have to start saving again to re-start your label.
If more people bought vinyl / hardcore then that would lessen the risk of re-press and there would no problems.

Theres loads of onlnes tores and usually at least one of em will have the tune your after. If its a newish tune. In some cases ( like Neckbreaker , Sunrise ) they will run out and that only a good thing for the artist coz it means theire selling a lot. Theres no point in pressing 500 copies more and not sellimg em.

Plus it works wonders for the second hand prices!!!
The artists should hold on to a few copies and sell 'em at a big profit when there's fresh demand.

so what your all saying is that hardcore really works at the 'recent releases time of the month syndrome'
i thought it could be easier than that...
for example i'm having difficulty in finding the back catologue of essential platinum

check the sites in the US aswellas they seem to have them in slightly longer than here. Allso shipping is pretty affordable

yea..i remember i looked up one american site because everyone here was getting excited over a forthcoming release..and the site had jimmy j 99 red ballons rmx which i haven't seen anywhere else..
