Working on scratching then mixing into another track and I'm totally fumbling. I love it. Means I gotta learn to beat match faster.

The Gemini are holding up pretty well also. I don't get a lot of lag from them, of course I'm pushing harder. I can't wait for technics.

Any tips for keeping the needle from jumping. I think it may be because my platters are unstable, when i push down they give. Any thoughts?

Be more gentle ,Dont push down to hard ,keep your hand's palm as flat as you can i suppose so your not pushing down.

i find that working the record is more of a back and forth, there shouldn't be much downward pressure at all, moisten the tips of your fingers first so it'll catch the record better and you won't have to push much, also you can put a little more weight ont he needle and set the anti-skate properly also helps.

mmm... i'm assuming from the name it prevents skating... you should set the anti-skate = the the mass you have on the needle, so 3g = antiskate set to 3 and so on.

Bit of advice for you.... Get some of those battle breakz records or some old hip hop.... I can scratch quite well over hardcore but when it comes to hip hop its sooo much easier and u can pull off some proper mad shit

yah, getting a looped record helps (infinite track) or just a really long hip hop track. it's a creat way to learn, plus there is more time to play so you don't have to keep resetting it

Anti-Skate should be set to 0 for scratching... otherwise the needle will skip.
