hardcore definitely but scouse house is a good substitute in a cheesy club which wont play abything over 145bpm.

I *think* scouse house is all this vocal driven hard-pop-trance (and happy hardcore cover versions!) in the charts nowadays like ultrabeat, rezonance q, flip n fill etc.

I believe its called scouse house cos it originated in and is very popular in Liverpool.

Which reminds me, Liverpool 2 - 1 Newcastle. GET IN!!!!!

well, im sure the easyest way to end this is for someone to name a..*cough* "scouse house" track...then im sure people would have an easyer time decifering what music he is on about..
..
..i mean, "hard and bouncey" could be hardcore...could be hard house, Hell!, it could even be hard trance...

"bring the hardest paddle you can find, and get ready to be spanked, you dirty dirty pigs.....yes yes?"

i think the point is that it's basically just where eurotrance and hard house meet with a very UK edge. Shameless abuse of 'Klubb' basslines and vocal sampling from famous tunes abound. Just been on the biggest scouse site I know of http://www.ScouseTunez.com and some of the tracks it mentioned were eyeopener - open your eyes, special d - home alone, ATB vs. Rez Q - Hip Hop Till I Come. I think basically to anyone who isn't from northern England it would just be called the very bouncy party side of eurotrance and hard(ish) house, rather than 'scouse house'.

As to which is better, well it depends on where you're sending the tape I guess. If it's somewhere that would never play hardcore in a million years I reckon you'd be better off doing a housier one. Or maybe you could do one of each under different names?

I think they just call it scouse house cuz it rhymes meself! Its more in a hard trance format - kinda like the Tidy2/Nukleuz stuff which is lost in the middle of hard trance and hard house. I would say the scouser music is the "in" thing ATM so fire that off as more people will know the music, although hardcore is clearly better IMO
