I'm surprised.
I feel the total opposite way.

I feel its going downhill because its going trancey and commercial - i'm sure theres those who will disagree but im into the more underground stuff - RFU, Innervision, Camel etc. Much better quality than Breeze and styles waffle.

Ahh! it's the apocalypse run for the hillls!

Seriously though I doubt things are gonna fall apart, I mean if they haven't done so already (didn't we just climb out of the dark days hole?), then I don't think they ever will.

Heh wouldn't it be funny one day to have one of your grand kids walk up to you one day and go, "did they have hardcore when you were young gran?"

"Well it just goes on and on and you don't stop, party people winding up and keep on going til you drop YEAH!"

2004 will be a gr8 year for hard core and dj fade will be missed but we still have many others bringing the scene to the forefront of music and getting the attention of more and more labels an listeners, also in my area alone there are more Decks an Djs, Mc's and others practisin at small gigs but gettin bigger by the day, so HARDCORE WILL NEVA DIE

true.... you can't fear change mun.... I know a lot of 'older' people i.e. late 20s who still hate the fact that happy hardcore evolved from what is now know as 'old skool' but u have to let it evolve nothing you can do to stop it if it didnt change it would die without a doubt...

Yes, major bad news about Fade (one of my favourites too) but life goes on.

Things change, people change - we have to get used to, and accept that.

2 or 3 people leaving the scene is not going to make any difference whatsoever. As the scene gets stronger, i'm sure it'll be able to absorb these changes with no problems at all.

There are far too many up & coming artists around for the Hardcore scene to start going downhill, so those of you who fear a sudden downturn in the fortunes of Hardcore HAVE FAITH!

I'd just like to say BIG respect to DJ FADE, I've been there from the begining of the u.k scene, and it would be sooooo hard to just stop doing something you've loved for all that time, but you'll take the best memories with ya.

Also i dont think people will leave the scene, there has been alot of legendary oldskool dj's that have come back to the scene after the revival of hardcore, the likes of:Slipmatt, dougal, vinylgroover to name a few.
But yeah more hardcore djs can only make it bigger and stronger.
