Makina is massive in the North East it has a huge following because of raves like the Afterdark in the 90s, to the New Monkey in the early to mid 2000s. I'm from Durham and have always listened to Makina & Hardcore. North East sets are very varied usually not just sticking with one style for a set

Makina, when done right, is excellent.

M Project did release a new album earlier this month, which seems to go back to his older japanese makina style.

Image in the link is somewhat NSFW, just a heads up

never expected much from it tbh about 50 views if i was lucky but it is really doing quite well

Sorry if I've caused confusion in the track links - this was the original track I was referring to.

The link to the summer dream of love track sounds good.

Makina is one of those genres I could be listening to all day long. From Xavi Metralla and old Pont Aeri stuff from Spain all the way to M-Project or Groovy stuff, it's always hyping.

I actually should make a playlist for it instead of replaying albums at random.

It would be great if the older stuff went out digitally.

It has mostly been Bit Music and an odd arrangement of DJ Ruboy-run stuff that has appeared digitally.

DJ Konik (or was it DJ Motor)? is trying to do the same, but man is his effort low-effort. I believe he's just selling whatever was ripped from vinyl and uploaded to Makina4Lyfe.net and refreshed the low-quality mp3 to sound better (the Spectrum clearly shows they're selling upscaled stuff). Heck, my own vinyl rips are off better quality.
