just out of curiousity, how are you lot slotting your tracks into the mix?
Just trying to figure out the best way to go about it considering i'll be on the vinyl's. Got a feeling it's gonna be pretty epic by the time it reaches me...
also, i'm staying at my girlfriends flat in Edinburgh dog sitting while shes off with 12 of her mates in Ibiza. I'm having a great time. Honest!
The decks are here, that's not a problem, it's just that i'm passing the dog onto her mate this friday then heading down to meet them all in her home town of Devon & won't be back till that sunday night. I'm then back home on the Monday for a College enrolment day & not sure when i'll be back which will leave me deckless.
If I can get the mix by thursday it shouldn't be a problem but if not I may have to move down the list a couple of places.
Sorry to be a pain in the arse but I figured i'd give you all some notice incase I stall the process & annoy the hell out of you all

everybody has been using CDs or Virtual DJ stuff so far
I'm on vinyl too - but i used cubase instead to mix my two as the tracks i wanted to use I only have on mp3 anyway!
if I was to use vinyl, i guess the way to do it is to burn the end of the song I was sent to mix out of onto a cd, plug a regular cd player into my mixer, then mix the first song out of that..whilst recording on the pc

We can, but I work Thursday through Sunday, possibly Monday, so I might be a bit delayed on my part of the mix considering if it takes Stray awhile to upload.
Let's put it this way, as long as I get the mix tomorrow or Wednesday I'd have it to Fire the following day, or depending how early I get the mix, that night.

Sounds good. Aslong as it's with me Thursday it's all good. Earlier would be a bonus.
Not that we're trying to rush you or anything Stray
I'm only listening to the track i'm mixing from until the mix is finished. Looking forward to hearing the whole thing from start to finish with fresh ears

You only get the end of the previous tune anyway so not too much is given away. I was a little surprised to have to mix out of The birdie song but just about managed!

Shades!! When we said have fun with it.....
aslong as no-one slides a bit of Aqua in there, we should be ok.
My 2 tracks have been chosen. Had a couple in mind, put them on & got goosebumps so they should go down well.

Hmm, maybe a very strange mash-up is in order.

Going nicely, almost a third of the way through. Think it's a good time to thank The Babymaker for his excellent hosting and logistical efforts so far, and Chesney Hawkes for getting things going with the running order etc. Cheers lads! ;-)
