Same as me. I was beginning to make myself quite ill on booze.

Doesn't work for me, when it comes to flirting directly. But it is good for letting your mind go. I probably never would dance at a rave or in a club while I am sober.

I've never been drunk, I don't drink alcohol! I've always gone my own way in life, bad childhood memories probably drove me to avoid it, and I just don't see the point... and from what I've tasted, I can't stand the taste. Eww.

Yep, a favourite hobby of mine. If I can I'll go for British real ale because they have the best flavour for my palate. Failing that I enjoy a nice red wine, preferably from Australia. Last case scenario then I'll have lager.
It makes me laugh how much people will pay in pubs for a pint of piss lager while there is fine high quality ales at less than a pound. Their loss!

You're only a Lapp if you live in Lappland, which is the north-most "county" of Sweden... ;P

Are you or your relatives from Aland, because I don't know any other finnish-swedish connected areas than those 2 ones.

enjoy the taste and love finding new microbrews that go great with grilling
also enjoy having local breweries near me that I can go fill up a growler or two (or three)

Beer.
Beer beer beer beer.
I used to be a tequila guy, but now I don't really enjoy the hard stuff.
Alcohol just really really agrees with me. I barely get any of the negative symptoms,
I never black out, I never get so drunk i cant remember. I will end up falling asleep before I can ever reach that point.
It rarely makes me feel sick, I have to drink reeeeeeeeeeally really hard to get any sort of hangover. It helps me get a good sleep. Makes me more social, and generally more lulzy.
Love the stuff :)

Had a lovely bottle of Old Speckled Hen last night, I know it's now quite common back home but over here it's like gold dust. I try to bring a couple of bottles of Real Ale back with me when I go back and forth.

The closest connected area is probably the Tornio (fi) and Haparanda (se) twin cities:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haparanda#The_impact_of_the_Border There are about 300 000 Finland Swedes (we were part of Sweden for like 500 years) and 500 000 Sweden Finns (most Finnish immigrants went there after WW2 AFAIK.). Also people from Aland are genetically closer to Swedes then Finns (Same goes for Finlands Swedes).
