I've played both Crysis 1 and 2 on my computer. I managed to play both games in highest settings without any problems, and this computer isnt even hightech, only cost me in total around 10 000 SEK for the main parts (excluding casing, screen and pheriples(?)).

fair enough then - I played crysis with everything turned on to its max and had no issues - I always thought that crysis 2 would require a new graphics card though

Isn't Crysis 2 actually easier on your card than Crysis 1? I believe the first Crysis was pretty badly coded or something which is the main reason it was such a resource hog (despite the fact that it does look rather pretty).

Re-fixed.
Consoles are great and all, but they don't scale like computers do especially since they're not being replaced. You can get the *greatest* GPU at the time, and two years later, PC will upgrade and destroy it.

the game ****ed my gameplay twice :P
I had to download 2 saves to continue the game. I dont know if the engine is poorly coded, but the switches that allowes me to continue on a map are :P

Rage seems damn good so far! Had to DL a beta driver for my HD6870 to get it running smoothly but runs like a dream now and looks fantastic. Got everything turned right up with no slowdown at all. Should have run a FPS counter really.
I was worried the driving sections where going to feel disjointed but it helps with the sense of scale but keeps things moving at a nice pace. The physics aren't great in the driving parts, when you slam the breaks on you pretty much instantly stop and you stick to the dirt tracks far too easy when turning at speed but it's fun enough to control and doesn't spoil the shooter experience for me.
The shooting sections of the game are amazing, clever AI the roll and jump from side to side really keep things tense. Only a little way in but all looks very promising!

Ah what a pain in the arse! Hate it when something like that ****s a game up.

I loved Rage on PC. Best optimized game of the year. ID Tech 5 is amazing.
Also how can you compare Crysis 2 to a console? The Pc version has a 10 gig HD Texture pack released from Crytek. No way in hell you're gonna want to compare those lol

Rage is 25GB on a computer. Running on full specs, i can seriously say its not optimized for PC. And iD complained about a graphics filter that supposedly was brand new. They should know that AMD/nvidia only release an driver update ONCE a month
