Scratch with it? For that much money I'd expect it to scratch my balls and wipe my ass for me :P

That is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. I also agree with Strychnine if it scratched my balls and wiped my ass I would consider buying it :)

I remember reading something about this a few years back. its an interesting idea but i don't think it will ever catch on. If anything is ever going to replace the turntables we use today it will either be cd dexx or Final Scratch (which still has a few kinds to be worked out)...both are already in use by a fair number of djs, and don't cost nearly as much.

The way I see it though this isn't a substitute for vinyl (like Final Scratch and CDJ) but just another way of playing it, without damaging the record. TBH I don't see how the savings in wear and tear would ever justify the 13K price-tag ... and looking at the specs, it seems to me that this thing would play like a CD deck, which kinda defeats the purpose of having vinyl IMO. It's probably designed more for the "audio enthusiast" than the DJ *shrugs*

Yeah, what Strychnine said...both about it not being intended for DJ use and about it needing to scratch your balls for ****in' 13K. Seriously, what kinda' rich ******* would actually buy that?

I will bet money that no one will buy those. Just too expensive and technics look cooler anyway :)

Believe it or not, there're actually people out there who buy ultra-expensive audio/video equipment (like this laser-vinyl-thingy here) and install them in acoustically-engineered "viewing" or "listening" rooms in their ultra-expensive mansions, so that they can hear sonic detail that is in all likelihood irrelevant to the musical piece anyway. It's the same thing as rich old men buying Lambo's and driving them at 50 - it's all about status.
