I had trouble to begin with when I started high school and everyone was mostly into pop music. when ppl listened to what I had playing on my walkman they told me that people who like hhc think they r hard, lol. Thats the funniest thing I've ever heard

Hey leave Teiggy007 alone I'm from the UK (unlike the rest of you having a go at him) and I can see where he's coming from What Young People listen to in this country is a huge influence, At the moment Punk is huge and I have very few Punk friends it doesn't bother me but if you have a punk friend who finds out your into your dance music they will not be seen with you.....it's wierd, it's bizzare and it's all too common. Like I say though I couldn't care less for these simple/one minded pricks anymore, i have no problem with what music people like, i like someone for who they are but it does happen a lot unfortunatly it never used to but people now like each other for music taste!!!!!!!!!!

chart music? huh, i got asked to "CD DJ" playing that shit in a club last saturday night for 4 hours!!!!!!! i was covering for a mate who was ill, i didnt mind tho cos i gots to get paid (im a student) and surprisingly, i actually enjoyed it.......and no i wasnt pissed, i had to stay sober cos i was on flu tablets.........i really really really wanted to drop some hardcore but i think i would of got heavily moaned at, but what i did like tho is that i managed to keep the dance floor filled untill 2am :)
anyway, back on topic - i love hardcore, my mate nathan hates it, who gives a shit? ahem....ill just shut up now.......

I don't actually get many people not liking me for my HHC liking, they just don't like the music I play, I'm into all sorts of weird stuff (if it's got static and weird arse voices I'm so there :P ). Nah, my friends just aren't really up for listening to new music unless I tie them down to a chair and force feed them the music, I love going to like audiogalaxy and looking up the hosted artists finding new bands (that's how I got into HHC) you find some really kick arse bands that way. But no-one hates me for my musical tastes. I think I'll shut up now :P

I agree with Simon. strychnine speak for yourself when u say that ppl can't dislike u for the music u listen 2, believe me they can. The way different genres of music are portrayed by the press and other similar things makes ppl believe they r true. there r ppl at my school who think 4 sum reason that ravers are crimanals and druggys and avoid having anything to do with you when u tell them wot u r into my sum of my m8s changed into greebos and alot of there old friends now arn't there friends because of the music they listen to. Unless ur a 'trendy' and listen 2 the same stuff as everyone else sum ppl get pushed aside slightly but its only a small minority that r ignorant enough to do this.
Im not having a pop at u by the way just letting u no how different the uk mite be 2 ur country

I can't b arsed 2 argue but sorry for misunderstanding what u were trying 2 say. as for the not being the sharpest tool, well u mite understand wot ur saying but others mite take it the wrong way as we did so watch ur wording of things and ppl won't make that mistake.
