most of my mates dont "hate" hhc, but listen to it on the rare occassion:
they all reckon im obsessed with it: I just ask "How can you avoid obsession with such the sweetest sounds???"
I cant stand their music....its left at that:
I just spread the word about how great it is, some mates tried to listen to it out of curiousity and loved it:
Obsession is great if its about something you love.
freedom to all who believe!!

I only have a handful of friends who like HHC. Luckily, the ones that do listen and appreciate, are some of my best friends.
And then there's my best friend from highschool. I told her I just went and bought my first vinyl, and it's happy hardcore.
She said *Happy Hardcore- y never heard of them, what do they sing? Are they on the radio?* lol...

unfortunatly, none of my friends listen to hardcore.
They don't hate me for it, just think I have bizzare tastes.
I have been able to convert none. They all swear by D&B only... closed mined ones arn't they?
Ow well, they don't know what they are missin'!

Unfortunately, no one in my "close" circle of friends is into HHC.
BUT, they always come out to support me when I get the chance to play

The majority of people in the US haven't heard of happy hardcore and the one's that have usually don't like it. It's sad, but true. There's a few of us that are really committed to happy hardcore, but not many. I guess I've "converted" a few people by showing them that this music is actually quite diverse and not all cheesy anthems. Most people in Dallas listen to jungle so a lot of them respect breakbeat happycore when they hear it, but it's pretty rare for them to even be exposed to that. As far as people hating, most people hate happy hardcore, but still get along with me and respect what I'm trying to do at least.
