I'm going to be attending the Slammin' Vinyl NYE party and just noticed they have an open bar until 7am. I was wondering how old you have to be to drink in Great Britain?

u have 2 be 18 too buy the booze but u can drink in your mum and dads house at the age of 16 aslong as some1 is ther watchin you 
is any1 else on the same level

Badass, 'cos I'm 20 and am going to be getting my drink on at the party. That is if I can ever figure out this BritRail system and find a way to get to the party from my hotel in Slough. One obstacle after another, but I'll be there.

Yeah, I have a Texas Drivers License and a passport ID. How much does a beer usually run at the Sanctuary though?

ermmm not tht much allcho pops which is WKD tht kind of stuff it goes for £2.50 a bottle in the night clubs they dnt do beer in most of the night clubs but it will b around .... £2-3 somthin like tht

also you can drink in a pub with a meal when you are 14! as long as its a glass of wine and your parents are with you! how weird is that law!

when i was the first time in london i was under 18 and i could get beer without asking of age of id.
and on all other parties they dont as about age because they will do that at the admisson ones in you are 18 or older.

heres how the ages of drinking usally go
1. 13 : spinning around the room at a mates house on white lighting being sick all over the place
2. 14-15: starting 2 mix drinks now eg jungle juice mixing as many spirits as possible and genrally being sick
3. 16 hanging round off licences ask every 1 can u get me some drink?
and once consumed starting on every1 including mates eg if they dont "twos "
but yep thats about it mainly think ur the top man/woman
4. 17- 18 wow ur in the pubs getting served now and even in the local night clubs pretty much the same as 16 but the only reason u get in a fight is you still think ur jack the lad
5. 18+ ur chilled out in the pub and behaving like a responsible adult if u r being loud and lairy its 2 ur mates which is cool and the chance of fighting is absoulutely minimal

i read somewhere its legal to kill a scotsman on the streets of London after 10 PM as long as its with a bow and arrow.

apparently you can legally kill a scotsman before 12pm on a sunday in york with a bow and arrow,i doubt it's true tho and i'm staying away from york coz i'm scottish!

some of the laws are stupid innit,like the government. the speed cameras for a start,you'd think if ya wanna catch the speeders you'd hide the cameras and not paint them all yellow and make them visible from 60 metres
