Hey!

I'm a mad raver from the UK who arrived in sydney yesterday as part of a round-the-world trip. I'm here until Feb 18 when i fly from brisbane.

I was wondering if any1 could be REALLY nice and point me in the direction of some good raves and record stores on the East coast over the next couple of months.

In the UK, the raves I usually go to are Slammin Vinyl, Helter Skelter and North. I love hardcore, oldskool and hardtrance. My fave artists are Hixxy, Storm, Whizzkid, Kaos, Ethos, Mark EG and Vibes.

My email is [email protected] and I'd really appreciate some info cos I've been in Africa and Thailand for 4 months and I NEED TO RAVE!

If anybody fancies meetin up to compare oz/uk scenes, I like beer.

Cheers & Happy New Year,

LEATHER :)

sorry leather. Wish i could help you out except ive never been to australia. But as far as record stores go, maybe you could look it up in some Australian Yellow Pages or Directory or somethin. Im surprised that you havent run into some australian ravers though because alot of people on this forum are from australia.
Well, Good Luck and maybe you could start your own little rave. Just get out your cds and pump up the volume. Im sure you will get the attention of some people(hopefully not the cops..haha)

You will need to check out Central Station records on Oxford street and one stop DJ on Oxford st in the city as well... There are a ton of Australian's on here that might know more.

BPM records just off Oxford Street is a cool store as well.

best shops for hardcore are one stop dj (great for new-skool uk/happy hardcore), bpm and central station, all within a few hundred metres of eachother on oxford st. (this is all in sydney btw) if you are out west try checking out ideal records in penrith on high st.

as for raves, go to www.overdrive.com.au or www.mksydney.com for the complete list of upcoming events. i would say some standouts would be logic with kevin energy this friday (3rd), mk5 feat ufo on the 1st of feb, or area51 feat hixxy on the 8th of feb.

this is all sydney info, there's no melbourne or brisbane people on here (i don't think)..... for those cities (and for sydney) www.inthemix.com.au is a good bet, they cover all types and styles of events...

good luck and hope you have fun!

drugs is not the answer... drugs? is the question... yes is the answer
