mayb dj's yer but mc's take wiz 2 make um talk faster some take pills some dj's will also take wiz 2 make um stay awake

It all depends on the person really. I try to stay sober if I'm spinning a set, but I know a lot of DJs will get ****ed outta' their minds and still be able to mix proper. Almost every DJ in Dallas smokes bud or drinks, but I'm sure it's different other places.

Well Sharkey used to get mashed everytime he MC'd but he dont no more. I'm sure plenty of DJ's/MC's do as well :)

i'm hardly ever sober when spinning,but in saying that i can mix just as good when i'm sober. i know when to stop drinking and all before i started wrecking a set (when i'm like falling over and struggling to stand up i'll stop drinking then)

If I am at an event I'll drink 2-3 beers before a DJ set, anymore and I start to get sloppy on the mixes or not care about them so much :)

well i usally stay sober at house partys , but fingers crossed soon if theres raves to be done (which i dont bottle out of hehe) id do it sober as well

I'm not a DJ, nor an MC, but at big raves I stay sober too... not that I don't like beer or booze (I drink enough of it on days like last friday ;) ), but I think that when you're really drunk it kind of spoils your party... being drunk makes me pretty tired, and when I'm drunk I also don't mind the DJ or music any more... So I prefer staying sober and listening closely to everything that's played :)

I prefer to drink a little, just so I'm not so self concious and can focus on the mixing. I drank a lot and came back and mixed, and actually I think I was mixing good, but of course, I was drunk so I was prolly mixing shit and thinking I was doing good ;)

A couple of times though, I really drunk a lot too, but I've forgotten most that happened during those nights, as I was sleeping for a large part in some corner :)
