Hey Children Of The Night,
I have listened to HH for nearly 4 years now and in a week I get my first set of decks. They should be £600, but I'm getting them for £100. The only problem is that I have no knowledge of how to do anything. Everyone has to start somewhere, but how? Is it something that's trial and error or do you know of any sites etc where I can find out stuff. I don't wanna waste £100 on decks that I will never be able to use properly.
I would be really grateful and think that you are most wicked in the highest sense if you could help me.

Let me hear your whistles,
and see your arms up high.
Cos we’re the ****in’ future,
And our souls will never die.

make recordings of yourself spinning, listen to mix tapes of good djs, watch good djs, and just practice till you're head hurts.

www.quoshrecords.com has a fairly decent video tutorial

"Cuz I'm hardcore, heavyweight, magical man."

there are tutorials around on the web, but there not compleatly set in stone everyone has there own way of mixing). do a search for them, have a read through, try to work out what is being said, try to put it into pratice, you will then realise what the tutorial is going on about, so i recommend you read it trough once more and then go for it and keep praticing.

DJ Sy's tutorials on www.quoshrecords.com are somewhat helpful, but there are many written guides around the internet and even actual books that help too...

Just remember it's going to take an awful lot of practice before you start sounding good :)
