CAn someone tell me why Breeze and Styles love to make some of there coolest tracks such bastards to mix in. Not that im complaining or anything but tracks like Rainbow and Only You (by Bo & Luke) have the smallest intros.

i guess they only want good Dj's palying there good shit, because not thAT i mind introducing a track straight away after i start it, but ... well anyone out there hear me?

there's 32 bars in rainbow, that's plenty of time for anyone. even tho the bassline comes in on bar 17 that's where eq on your mixer comes in handy

What an EQ? haha okok sorry, just at work, so don't have it in front of me.

So you when do you drop bass on rainbow at 18?

and do you introduce straight away?

The problem i really see with the track is that mixing in from the track before, the mood of the mix is kind of bring the crowd up and up, but then the fisrt breakdown appears.

Do you know what i mean?

have it cut by bar 17 and have the last track completely out by the time the breakdown comes in.

hmm,any track round the same speed made in the key of a minor, on my mix i had it mixing into stay here forever and they sound good together.
although there's a bit of an age gap between tracks it goes well with pilgrim 2000 on evolution #43.

Cool, how long have you been Dj for? Do you play at any Rave's/parties?

I know your probably on the other end thinking that im a dipsh*t that don't know nothin. But ive been Djing for 4 months now, and have been into Freeform and HH for bout 5 months. This may not sound like alot of time, but if you have the passion and enthusiasm of Hardcore in your blood, then thats plenty of time to search and search and search for label discoveries, and learn bout the past. I think im going ok.

But unfortunately i have yet to hear of Dj mouse. Where do you play, and what do you play and what do you like to listen to?

The most frustrating thing is seeing and hearing people talk about songs ya never heard of. That suks!!!!

Have you any secret sick ass tracks that you got, and not many people know about. I wish i did, just when i thought i did, the whole world finds out bout them. F@rk!
Any suggestions to help my develope my djing and music knowledge? I mean apart from moving to the UK!

just find a record shop/online store you feel comfortable with and order new stuff from them...also places like next generation & nuenergy will have promo copies available for purchase before lots of people will be able to get them in the stores...

short intros are good here and there, makes for nice lil mixes that can be used most anywhere

and if he had any "secret" tracks why would he want to give that info out, everyone will then go out and buy the record and cain it =P

i know i know but i was just asking, Mousy didn't have to tell me. haha

But if he did, well sick, but the thing is that most secret tracks are secret for one reason. accessability!

So even if Mousy told me, most likely the chaces of me geting it would be Zero 00000000.00

It everyone could buy it, then most people would therefore know about it! and it wouldn't be secret!

You're shining (obvious to come up) mixes perfectly with anything... just be sure to time it so that as the stab from the other track dies off, the one from you're shining kicks in hard and you get this crazy mix that builds up MAD powerful, especially on higher speeds (best with other B&S tracks but you can get the same effect with scott brown tracks...)

^^^ hahaha yeah same.... they're so clean! but i know what you mean with those tracks if you're not very experienced it's best to use tracks that have longer before the first breakdown. but lots of b&s tracks have this!

the thing with shorter intros is you'll probably want to bring the track in later than you usually would. for this reason, it's good to have the track befre it as something that has a small synth line/vocal line/mc line over towards the end. for example ufo feat mc marley - connections, hixxy feat mc storm - livin in a dream..... get what i'm saying? it's so you can keep the interest level up though you're bringing in your mix late...
