erm.....DJ Kenny, and Daveo i think its kinda important to wot DJ name u have, it also shows wot music u do, or can do, e.g. A garage DJ Hixxy or a hip-hop DJ Dougle   or in that case a hardcore DJ E'Z

If u didnt follow hardcore ok, would u know DJ Hixxy was a trance, hardcore DJ? Doubt it, and does a DJ name matter? answer: no. I mean, like maybe 65% + of DJ's wont even make it big, even u might not make it big, so i will think of a DJ name if/when i make it big.

a dj name DOES matter, what it is doesn't, but when you've got your name, you build a reputation around it, changing names/not having a name leaves promoters without a clue who to contact and people won't know who you are so you can become big.

I just don't understand why so many people get into djing with the idea that they're going to get to the point where a name would actually matter. Hasn't anyone ever heard of a hobby?

hahaha some people have dj names before they've even got decks or got a gig.... it's part of the 'coolness' factor of being a dj.

I think that your DJ name should matter.
The only problem is that I don't think you should just look for some name that sounds cool. You need to find a name that fits you and your character. Your name should reflect your person.
When you first hear a DJ's name before his talent, that is the first thing you will judge. Even though the talent is what matters. The name is judged as well.
