all 3 cd's are brilliant. although most of the tracks on hixxy's mix don't appeal to me,there's a few cracking tracks there, and it's well compiled.
alot of time and effort has gone into all of these cd's and it covers most of the scene all in one compilation. leave the past where it is and if ya want classic tracks do what underloop said,or get a hold of some decks and old vinyl, record a set and bob's your uncle.
i'm getting sick of ppl saying they want old happy hardcore on bonkers, the cd's have always had fresh material on them and never done classics (apart from #8 sy's mix) so why start now?

Bonkers X is the shizzel ma' nizzel!!! very similar to 9...but thats a good thing.
At first I was quite funny about this new hardcore but now I like it just as much as I did the old stuff.
The way I see it is that the old skool stuff will always b good but its mostly memories...let it go into the past and keep on rollin' with the new..
I personally think the scotchman's mix is the best but they all have their good bits of each hardcore scene.
Bonkers is and always has been at the tip of the hardcore scene and I hope it continues to for the foreseeable future!
I have all 10!!! What a lot of space in mt CD shelf!!!

I can see what Bezze is saying though. The Bonkers series lived up to it's name with the first three releases, especially the first one, but now it doesn't seem to. It's still quality music though and I can't wait to get the tenth installment and every other that follows.

To me hardcore from any year or period in time is good. Especially now I love it when people say "hardcore all sounds the same" so to prove them wrong I usually play Bonkers 9 and then a tape from 1997, then another from around 1993 to them and they're like "that's the same music?"
It's definately the most exciting form of dance music out there, what I find exciting is what the next hardcore evolution will sound like.

Chill out... everyone has their opinion, and you are hardly the last word on what is good and what is not.

This is simply not true. I can think of plenty of "artists" who sell millions of cds who ARE crap. I am making no opinion here about Bonkers, but to say that any cd that sells a lot is automatically not crap is just faulty logic.

I think bonkers 10 is one of the best i have heard. It might just be my love for "the world is mine" by tommy knocker, but well i think its great.
