Basically, I feel that there hasn't been a waffling wayword topic like this on hhc.com for a good few months now, and obviously the crap has been building up inside of people/members.....and now it's all out.....we'll be fine again  .

I find that I don't like Adobe Photo shop at all. Give me the Gimp. I love the gimp. Its free, open source and best of all: a lot harder to use with only 90% capacity of Photoshop.

OK, I'm gonna nip back on topic for a (short) while. I don't use Photoshop, soI don't know how to do it in there (I use Macromedia Fireworks) but I love playing about with layering transparent pics and stuff. You'll be able to see this effect once I get off my arse and upload the redesigned website, but until then you'll have to wait. Basically you select the pic you want to overlay, and click "convert to alpha". This effectively makes the light bits transparent, so you can do stuff like stick a block of colour behind it for a "black colour and white" effect, or stick anopther pic behind etc etc, just experiment.
