you need to present a business plan to club owners to try and peruade them to let you rent out the venue for the nite ie
- music format
- expected crowd(obivously the more ppl expected the more expensive it will be to hire the place, eg bouncers, bar staff etc)
- ticket prices/on door fee
- dj's/mc's
- duration of the nite,
if i can think of anymore i'll post it, but dont go by that cos i've never tryed to set up my own nite or anything hehe, just i know some of these things shud be in a business plan

Most places that do rave and club business don't really care about business plans - they just want you to convince them that you can fill the place. Give them your experience, your past numbers. Important data is how many people you're expecting for your event, and how much bar sales they will generate. If the venue needs more people than you can get, don't do your event there. A good peice of advice is NEVER do an event in a venue you can't hit legal capacity in. If you're expecting 200 people, do your event in a club with ~200 legal capacity.
I don't know how it works over on that side of the ocean, but we grab non-rave bars all the time for our events - there's always 5 or 6 of those in any city that are doing shit business and would love an infusion of 300 people and 2000$ worth of bar sales.
Hope that helps

There are quite a few venue's in London that could be possible for the smaller crowd... Have you looked at venues such as the purple turtle in camden, or G4 on Brixton Hill. Something about the size of Bulushi's or the Glasshouse? I have promoted Hard House events in and around London and am currently in the process of considering a Hardcore event.
Have you thought of the possibility of twinning your event to get a bigger venue and larger crowd?
If you're interested, let me know...
