DJ's and Producers, DanceSafe Wants Your Demos!

In an effort to raise funds to better serve the Atlanta scene, DanceSafe Atlanta is starting a program called "Demos 4 DanceSafe". Through this program DanceSafe will collect demos and other promotional items from generous DJ's and Producers and take them to each event we attend. These items will then be given away in exchange for a small donation, which will go directly into DanceSafe's operating budget.

For those who may not know, DanceSafe Atlanta is a harm reduction organization with the misson of educating people about the risks of some of the forms of recreation they choose. While most famous for our drug information, we also hand out condoms and information about sexually transmitted diseases, and even ear plugs and ear protection information.

Although we are a non-profit organization, DanceSafe requires funds in order to ship supplies, make banners, pay for training, and perform outreach in events such as Pride Festival and Lollapalooza. A basic booth at Pride, for example, cost well over $300 for the weekend, which was paid for entirely with donations.

Spread your music and support DanceSafe Atlanta by donating your demos. With your help, we can be more effective in our mission to educate our peers.

I hope this is alright to post here, a quick look around didn't reveal any rules against it so here goes. Please let me know if I am in error.
