Mods and people that post events and generally help on the front end are always needed and their help is always welcomed, we just don't have any programming help beyond my time and we certainly don't have any graphic or website design help (which should be easier)
I've said it before I've actually got new code ready to roll for the site but I need time to convert the old site content over and I would love a new design but I don't have one and you would hate the site even more if I had to design something.

Pointless rants aside, this topic could turn out to be quite useful! Nice to see Silver explain a few things, and despite some pessimism we still have a decent community and a lot of decent contributors. ANY forum will struggle nowadays - Facebook etc have killed loads off, and trying to start new sites is always a big gamble. BUT, this is the only one i use regularly, because many others are deathly quiet or not around anymore. Anyone wishing to post a list of ten year old forums with a massive amount of new topics and regular users, please feel free...

I always liked this particular forum style actually. The best around. A lot of other forums look shit or aren't great to use. So for me this apparantly 'dated' style couldn't be better. I don't know what people think can be added to a forum that's new. It's just a load of text, what more do you need, really? The only possible additions would be fairly useless ones or novelty at best.

I think the forum is dated too tbh. All the errors and slowness aside, the forum has aged. While I enjoy posting here and consider many people on here friends and stuff, I do feel that there are limitations to the forum. It'd be nice to embed Soundcloud links, easier youtube links, and some other features more modern forums have. I respect that its hard to do, but leaving it will eventually mean that the forum becomes slowly more baron.
Its like a shop, if you dont update the stock, and invest in new products, your not going to reel in customers.
I'm rubbish at analogies.

Im not gonna rant much but; You come here for your music and the comedic side of people on these fourms, and the blue/grey backgrounds arent that bad, like nice and basic most sites nowa days have stuff with too much?
Anyway my point is(my very tired point) Theres loads of music sites now days and if your gnna keep goin on at silver then fek off, Yous come on the site for the people and the laugh,Dont see many people nowa days trying to run there own website (paid for) and a radio channel and everything else! I dont know the prices but im pretty sure it isnt the cheapest with the amount of site traffic around here!

I decided to check it out yesterday and must so the appeal of this site isnt there for me anymore, hardcore just isnt the same is all de ja vous tunes coming out that dont appeal to me anymore so yes i will take your advice and leave i would appreciate it if you remove me from your site now Silver!!

I'm going to approach this slowly here....
Call me wrong (please) but does anyone thing kathryn is being a tad ungrateful? I guess it is disappointment that things change and move on and they nothing is ever what it used to be. The site will grow and evolve much like everything else.
anyway... moving on...
About the "design" two words for people... google & facebook... no design what-so-ever, it is just layout and content which makes them the two most popular sites on the internet.
Colors aside content is king (and the members here too!)
I'm daily on the error messages (yes they are because of the new server) and we will slowly weed them out.
For the new code, I'll get it sorted in the end and we'll have something amazing, I already have the code base and trying to arrange some time to get it all done.

and the site has lost activity..But that balances out with it not bein as popular..And every time im on there seems to be a healthy number of people online also
