Ramos and Marley plus Billy Bunter have been playing Trancecore for years and years, however i do agree they do sound different, Braveheart I would still call hardcore. Anyhow solution? Nick the best mix it in, speed it up call it hardcore and merge trance back in, The beauty of this scene is its many eclectic sounds!!

The nu trance stuff is proof that happy will never die - variations on a theme, been happening for centuries... Sounds similar, just remixed.
PS - do we have to have know-all americans posting their undermining crap?!

I strongly disagree with that stereotypical comment.

Your post makes no sense and you cap it off with an anti-American slur. Nice one!!! [/sarcasm]

ok, there is freeform which is the stuff on bonkerz,data,xy2,etc...
and there is trancecore which is gabber, with trancey synths sped up to like... 200+ bpm
its really an opinion i suppose, some people call it trancecore, and some people use the term trancecore for freeform....
kind of like that drum n bass/jungle debate in a way..
im sure someone on here knows what im talking about right?

Nice one hard2get, I agree stero-typical slur is exactly what I was trying to get away from when i started listening to this music and Strychine is spot on as usual (i like that guy)
However trancecore is Fast Gabber? what planet you on? It is not plus 200bpm, nor does it have stupid chipmunk lyrics or a permanent agressive techno melody trying to rip your head off (though I like that sometimes) have you ever heard Journey by Ramos an Marley? an F$$KIn classic AND Trancecore!!! Where as Braveheart is close but is not.
What both the for-mentioned and Billy Bunter were trying to do about 4/5 years ago was break with the over happy and bring back the core, but still keep piano in but spaced around 15/20 minutes a time which you will note is what old skool does and is what Hixxy is doing now! So there!! from a know it all 28 year old Brit!! Now I LOVE PIANO and I can dig it all night but I also realise that did turn some people off so different styles are required even Deathcore for the scots (Which I might add was what I think you were describing), The new trance stuff sounds just like trancecore only with a bit of Ibiza thrown in. Lets face it, Housers will never dance to our tunes so a rip off in my eyes is flattery!! The fact I have House mixes of Prod, Shooting star, need your lovin, Forever young etc etc......blah blah shows where they turn to in troubled times, Hardcore hardly ever (didn'y say never!) rips off House, something that pleases me immensely!! We rip of Chart stuff though but I find that funny
