Here in Australia if we didnt have "open age" parties/raves we wouldnt get very big crowds. There is the occasional (once or twice a month) hardcore pub night that is over 18, but thats it, the rest of the parties are all age.

^^ while I agree generally with what your saying re the crowds I think it's also relevant to say that our o18 events (like the pub-nights you mention as well as the full-scale parties like Once Upon A Time etc) actually do pretty well for themselves. While I wouldn't go so far as to say they have a "better" crowd, I will say that it's a different clientele and makes for a refreshing change from the undending sea of Twinkies that you get at most open-age parties.

well yeah i do agree bout them being over 16's because of little kids drinking cider and black current which is sick and get wrecked well easy

they shud have more events like Planet Love 02, where the age limit is 16+ and if ya go to the bar, your asked for i.d.

Round ere we do av loadz of clubz who cater 4 under 18's
People like Hixxy,SY,Dougal,Sharkey,Storm etc come dwn 'n' play
We also av local nites that bring in new DJ's (the future of hardcore) 'n' they play sets for upto 3hours (between em)
There pretty succesful az there alwayz packed 2the rafters with young punters wantin to get in on the scene!!!!!!!

I think there should be more under 18 hardcore events, I can remember when I first got into it at 11 and was p****d off as I could not go anywhere near a rave experience, plus we need to start introducing the next generation to decent music, not the cack that's on the telly and in magazines aimed at them.
