Is it just me or has there been a slew of noobs recently?
I keep seeing all these threads like "Im a newbie to hardcore" or "Hi,im new!"
...etc.
And they seem to get like 100s of replys.

erm......I think mine is still going on rumours unless a new mod in a fit of jealous rage has locked it cos he was worried I get to advanced with it still going.

this place gets all the n00bs (like me ) cuz its the friendliest board ive seen. so many boards if u avnt got 1000 posts u git ripped for bein ignorant and "not hardcore," and if u mention the wrong dj u git ripped even harder, an that aint a good ting...
even mcjutt aka uk garage lover got a decent response with no real harsh treatment!!! can ya imagine that on USH???
plus this site has the best layout and silver keeps it updated and well run, top job mate!

^^^ that is true, as you can see i do not have that many posts, but i did start the DNA post. I think that some noobs will post on ever single post that there is to get there post number up. i was a mod on another forum and this one guy posted 400+ times and no one else had over 100. it was pretty pathetic. I will try my best to not be a noob. I have been with the scene for about 4 years, i dont buy records (no money ) But i try and get all the cd's that come out. Well i agree some people do not know what they are talking about.

some people start off bad, then they get better. i'm on heaps of boards and you always see newbies making fools of themselves and stuff but then after a while everyone likes them and they know their shit. i say stop cutting them down straightaway. if you don't like them, go to USH.

As for all the "noobs are nobs" talk, well, I gotta side with pacman on this. Hell, just go for a hunt into the darkest corners of this site's archives and you may see some familiar names back there acting like fools - you'd never guess it was the same ppl that you see today. So yeah, keep up the good work re newbie-welcoming!
Of course, there's a difference between noobs and trolls. Like somebody else said, the best way to deal with a troll is to just not reply. Let the mods handle it (tiring though it may be).
