Actually I can't listen to the radio (being on 56k and all). I come to HappyHardcore.com because I enjoy the discussion and there's a lot to be learnt just by hanging around and paying a little attention to what people have to say.

I do, quite often, hell streaming radio is one of the first things I tried when I got my ADSL time ago :)
I find it very usefull beind a new-ish DJ (almost a year now.. dunno what u'd call it :P) it give's me lost of inspiration for things to try, songs to get and so on. It's all pretty much class, but I must admit I didn't like the last mix from our own DJ Silver that much (sorry man!)
The quality does really get me though . . I think 24kbps for the modem'ers and 128kbps for broadband would be better... sometimes in 56kpbs even mixing I know is good just sounds nasty!
This is no doubt a culmination of cost of the bandwitdth and not wanting to encourage stream ripping? ;)
But anyway yeah, nice on silver, I'm working hard on my entry! :D haha
oh and, erm, the question - the forums are very usefull, I've learnt soooo much, and basically if I hand'nt found this site I wouldn't be DJ'ing HH.

I listen to the radio quite a fair amount. I think that the presentation, layout, and organization is done very well. Although there is one slight problem... not enough variety... (however, it's gotten way better than a year ago and is improving continually)
I agree that I'm not really in any position to complain, for I should be mixing myself and contributing some added value. But I'll admit it... I'm not very good yet...
But I'm learning, I'll get there

I love the radio so much. Whenever I listen to it for a few hours, I get really inspired to mix again because it gets boring to just mix in my room when no one's listening. Here's a list of show's that I like and reasons why.
Rush Hours: It has alot of music I like, with a little freeform in it (though I'm not much of a fan of freeform)
Totally Sweet Radio: Funnier than Conan 'o Brian! These guys make me lauch even when I hear the episode 3 times!
Silver: He plays all of this awesome stuff that hasn't been released yet! Loved the scratching last show!
Uraken: Love how he talks on it! With the japanese accent and how he ends the show, "See you next week! Otaraishu!" (maybe I got this wrong)
I also want to thank Silver for giving me a spot on the radio! I'm getting alot more feedback than I did, and it's really helping me get better though I may not be the best! Thank you alot Silver; you are awesome!

i have only been able to hear the radio once, every other time it says it needs to buffer.. lame but oh well, i have so many hhc dj sets on either cd or mp3 that it more than makes up for it. but i wish i could hear the radio so i can have some variety. the chat on the other hand. can't wait.
respect,
Dj Ritalin
