Lets see here, i got into happy hardcore with happy 2b hardcore chapter 3 mixed by anabolic frolic. Which was fast, happy and hardcore! good stuff right...well now then. Today all that comes out is crap songs, they are basically trance, and freeform marked in the "happy hardcore" section...even on the news page of www.happyhardcore.com all the songs they were advertising were crap trancore/freeform...what happend to the HAPPY HARDCORE!!! emphasis on HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...*sigh*
Bonkers 10 was a good expample of crap hardcore/trance/freeform...they used to be good times happy hardcore...it actually was happy...it was the good stuff that the true lovers loved, and the rest of the stupid people in the world hated...which was how it should be. Now that "hardcore" is getting popular its turning into trance, thats why its popular...some folks need to take their face out their ass and realize, this new stuff isnt HAPPY HARDCORE its shitcore.....
anybody else unhappy with this flush of unhappy hardcore and trancycrap?
Pie...yes pie is good, but i myself do not like PIE...btw Why does wood get so hard?

To be honest i dont see why the new stuff is Crap as you call it. I happen to like it. I do agree though that it would have been better if the new trancey stuff had just been an addition to the hardcore scene as apposed to taking over the scene. but hey times change dont they

Yes times do change, and its a very sad change...hardcore will never die? well it started as happy hardcore...and aparently that died...now its trance..heh

It has been said by many people that hardcore evolved... Happy tunes dont sell anymore... the market died... no ones fault... it's just that is how it is... In fact when I first heard Scott Brown's tunes from EV 41 onwards I nearly cried it was so trancy and I hated it.... now I love it...
Besides... I would love to own hardcore . com but it's a porn site... and I will never own it... so I'm stuck ... hehe

it certainly ain't crap mate, just because you can't adapt to the way happy hardcore is going now. At least 95% of the people in this forum i believe would disagree with such as outburst and say pretty much, DEAL WITH IT! lol no offence intended but you can come into a website like this and say Hardcore is crap..
HARDCORE TILL I DIE!
if video games affected us as children, then we would all be running around in dark rooms, munching magical pills and dancing to repetitive music!

First of all, it aint HAPPY no more. When i first got into it...it had that shut up and be happy vibe, just made me wanna get up and jump around and smile very very big...now thats gone....im just saying it aint happy no more...but this is HAPPYhardcore.com? *sigh* no more happiness

another thing, i guess i cant move on with the genra, i loved the music for the happiness...which all the poppy music didnt have...and its just dissapearing...i just dont likke it ^_^

well its been sed b4 and i'll say it again,
get FL4 or Cubase, and produce your own happy tunes then, get em pressed, and try and change things instead of moanin about it

Bezze i dont get it, i'm 100% sure you havent heard all the happy hardcore tunes from the 90's... why dont you buy records from that time?

IMO i think its good there is so many varietys of hardcore, or esle everyone would get bored if they played the same tune over and over again, there is nothing wrong with freeform ( So dont diss it ) .Also it would be so annoying if you went to an event and everyone played out happyhardcore.

If you use the search function and look for the Bonkers X topic you will see alot of people liked it, including me, Scott Browns mix was fantastic showing you some dark(er) tracks. Personally i think you need to get with the times. Hardcore can and only will get better.

1) Happy hardcore is my favorite sound
but....
2) It got over played with piano track after piano track and there is only so much joy anyone can take in on go. Old skool built up to it as does (sorry and please excuse me) House and trance. 15 minutes of a hard sound going into something Happy, peaceful, joyous IS so much more satisfying.
Me....I could listen to Heart of Gold on loop alnight but would prefer a mixture
of hard and happy tunes blended together. There are many classics but lets face it a load of Pete Tosh too!! Example? Sing it Loud (no that's happy but its also CRAP!) . The music does evolve but in time, most things cycle and i would bet after a harder darker time the remedy will be another bout of Top Buzzin happy toons.
After the original acid house raves a lot of parties in 91-92 played a lot of darkness and jungle......then what happened? 93-98 HAPPY HARDCORE. This is the same thing. Just another ride on the merry go round.
Happy music will come back because most ppl going out like to be happy. Once the I am so cool and hard thing wears off.....why do you think retro nights are so popular? Anyone can play the good stuff and leave the forgetable toss out.
I recognise a new Gen is into Hardcore and that's as much hardcore as happy. If that keeps the scene alive I am all for it. I love my memories but unlike most 30 something's want to live in cynical self pity about the good old days. I do not want to keep the scene nor its music all to myself but that does mean sometimes I may not fully love the direction it is taking. However, majority rules even if most hardcore ravers were toddlers when I started, its still them, that will ensure hardcore as a genre (in one description or another) for the next gen.
I suspect that the trouble is memories are easier to live in than actually changing the situation and creating new happy vibes for future memories.
These are only my opinions and hey, guys, I haven't written an essay in ages!!
