No shit sherlok, i dont want hardcore commercialise, how many more -=-=-=- times must i post that on ere the fact is if they commercialed OldSkool that surely could mean that hardcore could get commercial soon.

one of my 1st posts on this site was a prediction that hardcore will b commercialised by 2005. . . lets see if i'm right. . .

commercial [k múrsh'l ] adjective

1. relating to commerce: relating to the buying and selling of goods or services

2. suitable for trading: appropriate or sufficient for the purposes of trade

3. for industrial use: produced in bulk for industrial use and often unrefined

4. done for profit: done with the primary aim of making money

5. paid for with advertising: supported by revenue from advertising

noun (plural commercials)
advertisement on radio or television: an advertisement broadcast on radio or television

errr...ok if ne1 can make nethin outa that!

EDIT: ok ...thats all irrelevent...^^^^ but commercialize means....:
1. apply commercial principles to something: to apply business principles to something or run it as a business

2. use for profit only: to exploit something for financial gain

so yeah...i need a life...!!lol :)

Commercial means mainstream, popular, being advertised and shoved in your face as much as they are willing to spend on hyping up the artist / song / album. This theoretically isn't bad if people commercialised for reasons other than making bank, but when corporations get involved money talks louder than artistic integrity can yell. If happycore commercialised many producers could be better off and some older producers might come back, but when other people see how they can slide by on someone elses ingenuity and make a quick buck with some crappy formuliac BS hardcore the scene becomes forever tainted. I say the scene right now is in the best condition it's been in for years with all the new record labels and young producers coining new genres of hardcore. But we won't need to look to commercialise; if they see money to be made, they'll come to us.

Everyone who reads/posts in this forum should watch 'Josie and the Pussycats' for a guide to comercialisation.

Oldskool cds being comecial is just another everthing old is new again thing. People who are into pop culture have very short memory spans and thus their music has to be played out 24 hours a day in case they forget any of it. Then 10 years later, they forget how bad Vanilla Ice sounded the first time around and he makes a comeback.

Oldskool is more commercially viable than happy hardcore i guess, Cause its slower and has breakbeats (which relates it to the much exploited fatboy slim bigbeat sound) and they can put charted dance songs from the era alongside truer rave anthems and call it all oldskool.

Ministry of Sound are an unfortunate victim of the old trade your artistic integrity for wads of cash disease thats sweeping electronic music worldwide.
