Ok basically write a brief summary of what the rave scene in your area, Or the one you go to is like. I.e. Atmosphere, Quality of the party, ETC.
I'm from Sydney, Australia. Basically here, The rave scene is an u18 club scene, Although it is considered all ages, It has recently become the in thing to go out and take drugs. There is no PLUR, And PLUR is continually made as a mockery. People are taking copius amounts of drugs and starting fights. The security guards at raves are rolling people for their cash and pills and selling it back to their runners or taking them themselves. So the people in Sydneys scene are shit.
Although the quality of the parties in terms of production is outstanding due to the sudden increase in popularity of raving. The majority of ravers are stuck in a vicious circle. The majority of them are over it and jaded, But continue to go everyweek and have a bad time just to socialise and listen to music, And everyone continually squabbles about insignificant shit, My thoughts on why are is because of it being an u18's club scene, The amount of hormones and varying levels of maturity makes it an absolute shit fight.
Also, The production teams are so outstanding at the jobs they are doing for the majority of the time, We remember how parties used to be back in the day, And think yeah the party will be mad, Because we know about the production, And keep on hoping that this will be the party with the mad vibe. But it never happens. It has happened once or twice in the last year and i've been to over 40 parties. 2/40 Parties i have been completely comfortable at.
It's no longer a rave scene. It's just a drug scene. And it's infuriating.
So yeah, I'm done with my rant. Whats YOUR scene like?
I was sent from outer space, To find another happy place, Now i'm left here all alone, Million miles from home, Floating through the galaxy, all the stars in front of me, Now im left here all alone, Million miles from home.

there isn't much of a call for hardcore here for the over 18's. consequently there is no hardcore playing out in the clubs unless it's old skool which we still don't get often, and no hardcore records for sale in the 2 record shops we have.
however for the under 18's its another story completely. garage has gone now (bar the die-hards) and now they are all crying out for an under 18's hardcore night in the town,i'm well known here for my dj-ing so lots have approached me asking for a hardcore night whether it be in a club at town or a birthday party.
the only dj's i know of here in huddersfield that spin hardcore are myself, 00 steadman, cosmic, uzy and the master himself scott brown. as for mc's i only know one,gav b.

portsmouth -
we got a bit of a split scene here. we got ALOT of massive drum n bass nights - andy c and the loudest syseam in the world next month! and theres a fair few hardcore nights popping up all the time. we have had trottle (breeze, styles, demand, whizzkid), recreation (sharkey, robbie long and devistate), total eclipse (jedi and stormtrooper b2b!!) and a big night called old skool rezerrection that takes up both rooms of the pier.
the pier in pompey is the main rave venue, its got 2 rooms, wicked system and excellent atmosphere, all at 40ft above the sea!
also its not that far to travel to brighton, bournemouth, southampton or bristol(for the absoloute hardcore nights!)
all in all we got a pretty good scene!
"Oh, I'm sorry. Did I break your concentration?"

Around here, it's all house and dnb.
Only hardcore that happens is once in a great while, in Omaha at the very closest or St. Louis.
No events of any kind can be pulled off in Lincoln. They have the younger cops going to house parties undercover to bust them up. Please.

Around here, the happy hardcore-scene consists of me and my diskman (or stereo when everybody's out). We have a gabberscene around here, mostly small and mediumsized parties. Once or twice a year we get a massive gabber rave in our country, but most of the time it's just amature dj's playing in youthcentres 'n shit. Sometimes certain dancings book a few pro gabba dj's and have a gabbernight. Also a lot of drugs involved here. Don't really mind actually aslong as they don't get agressive 'n shit.
We do have a house, techno, dnb and trance-scene. But those things are large commercial events 'n shit 'n I hate 'em.

Happy hardcore is definitely a no-show over here. We have some hardcore-enthusiasts but that's only like 20 people.
Trance, and particularly psychedelic trance is the way of the people over here. So we have A LOT of semi-private, outdoor parties in the woods and on beaches You'd figure there would be a sh*t load of drugs, but actually no, they're almost non-existant(!). The drugs are all at the local clubs where radio-friendly trance/house is being played. Sure, most ordinary people go to these drug-infested sh*tholes, but none of them care about the music, it's just a meat-market of people wanting casual sex. So those of us who actually gives a sh*t have other places to go, for which I am deeply thankful.

AZ has an interesting hardcore complex... all of the different forms of EDM are sort of suffering right now along with the rave scene, but thanks to some of the long-time hardcore pushers (Starr, Sixxx) and some of the new guys(myself, Jewan, a few others), all the sudden it seems as though there is a spike of interest in the community. When hardcore is booked, people show up and represent, and FINALLY the promoters seem to be taking a small bit of interest. I see good things in the future. I have a small coffee shop DJ night where I'm pushing hardcore DJ's and the community at large seems to be really supportive. :)

If you don't like your scene or don't have a scene, make your own parties, they dont have to be big, do it the way you want to... if you like... maybe other people will too.
