Sydneys rave scene is off tap Look at the latest Utopia for example, its going to be amazing with our own dj Silver spinning it up!

Hey, I went there this summer. It was a nice city, I liked it a lot. Didn't look like there was much going on in the way of a scene though.
Texas probably has one of the worst electronic music scenes in America, maybe even the world (besides, like, Antarctica). There's the drum n' bass, but even that doesn't have the support it once did. Me and some mates try to throw hardcore parties once in a while, but we never make any money, don't even break even (or come close sometimes). We've kinda' given up on things here and now concentrate on other areas, like the Mid-West. Hardcore is still doing well there, and hopefully people will continue to support it.

the rave scene in syd is awsome! ive been ravin here for 3 years and the changes we have gone through to get to this stage is amazin.it does have alot of under 18's around tha scene but hay u get that!!!!!!!!!
there is alot of plur goin around now,for example the last fantasia we had was the best rave ive been to in ages. it was only small like 2000 or so people but was the best party ive seen put on not usin any internationals.
i love the syd rave seen and i think utopia is just goin to add to everyones exitement around here

i thought it was small u should get in contact with dj tom-e cause he is gettin inter nationals for the next one in 6 moths silver it would be mad to have u there cause they just keep gettin bigger

Yeah. In terms of promotion Sydney has awesome parties for the majority of the time. But the scene here is becoming to commercial and attracting the wrong crowd. Theres no plur n stuff here, The last rave i went to was out in a place called Minto, Basically about 2 hours south west from sydney city, And full of old people and Lebanese gangsters wanting to kill you for your shoes. All throughout the night there was fights, People getting there shit stolen, People tryna slip rowies. All sortsa ****ed up shit. And we had buzz fuzz playing a set then, but the vibe was so destroyed that i could enjoy it. And he's my fav dj. It gives me the absolute irrits.

Yeah, minto, livo, and good ol' campletown.
Don't why people complain about the Sydney scene. When was the last party that got shutodown?? I can only think of "gonuts" but that didn't really get shutdown, that got cancelled cos of the cops.
Sydney has a sweet friggen scene. If you go to a rave to find PLUR, why don't, make it, spread it and then people will catch on. If you complain about the lack of PLUR, then it shows that you don't have any your self

I'm from Thessaloniki-Greece. Well here the music playing at clubs is house,progressive and stuff...there are also some psychedelic trance parties but they are full of drugs, you know.. There's no hardcore scene here.People here listen only to what they give them from TV and Radio. Of course there's no hardcore parties and no hardcore vinyls or cds to buy.
We get what we want only from the internet recordstores.
Here is like Dj hoekjema said.I feel like i am the scene here!

Not all, but you've gotta be carefull which ones to attend. In Antwerp it's especially tricky.
Last few ones I atended were small ones and they were pretty cool, good atmosphere and shit.

the nearest disco is only;) 35 km away...it has got 3 rooms, 1 party room(shakira...),1 hiphop and one technoroom and in the technoroom they play 1 hour mainly trance&dance(dj isaac, jan wayne, benny benassi, atb) and then1/2 hour R'nB... and hardcore? there's quite a lot of gabbers around, but almost all are skins...even if there where a hardcore party around, i wouldnt go to i think...

At least you have a scene. My scene is me in my dorm room with a really bad crappy sterio and an anabolic frolic cd.
