depends what drugs really lol, mushrooms make me very quiet and introverted, I've done them twice at pretty high doses and don't wanna do them again unless I feel I need to. Last november was crazy, Brisk was playing at Summit in london and I was so e-tarded that I ran full-on into a wall because there were lights on it, I then threw loads of glitter on the floor and tried making a glitter angel (like snow angels) but just ended up tripping out because of all the lights on the cieling and was just basically like spinning around on my back going "WOOOOOOO" there were two guys who were on the dancefloor who had to go to the smoking area because they were just in tears of laughter and could barely walk. Really nice people though :D that night was trippy, I full on hallucinated and whizzkid (who was a black floating blob) kept asking my friend if I was okay because I was just on another planet totally. Getting that messy isn't recommended lol but I do have some good memories of it.

pillreports.com is a really good site for checking which pills are good and which aren't, they are a harm prevention site designed to make sure ravers and party-goers are safe from dodgy drugs (I emphasise this to make sure no mods think I'm posting links to illegal drug websites or something)
I have to say though last time I did a pill was the night I mentioned up there, it only lasted an hour before I was coming down so I bumped up with like half a gram of MDMA (bad idea I know) and it all started coming on at once. I have a nice mdma outlet which does me just fine, I'm not gonna talk about prices or dealing though as the mods have been kind enough to let us talk about experiences. If I were you though I'd stay away from pills altogether, they are getting better but it's still difficult to get hold of good pills. Whereabouts are you and do you go out raving much?

I went through a massive MDMA phase from the summer of 2008 until about Christmas. My mate (many monies) had a four bedroom semi-detached to himself for a few years because his parents bought some massive 7 bedroom mansion out in the countryside (just down the road from Archefluxx actually). Anyways, on a weekly basis for the best part of 6 months, we'd be gurning our faces off until 8 or 9am every Saturday or Sunday morning. I like MDMA for house party usage with mates - being able to constantly top yourself up is great, but it's a fcuking hassle at raves. MDMA also tends to give me a deeper, more sickly, resonating internal buzz, and I don't feel comfortable with it at a rave.
Pills are good for raves. Bosh one down, away you go - nothing to worry about. Never buy them in a rave though, 6 or 7 times out of 10 it's dud. I know a fair few people in my area, so I'd always go prepared.
That said, for the last few years, I've done all of my raves drug-free. I just drink now. The enthusiasm I have for hardcore at the best of times is just ridiculous, but when I am drunk, it feels like I'm going to explode - in a good way. Drinking at raves is considerably more expensive than drug taking, though (I'm putting away close to a hundred quids worth of booze at a nine hour event [pretty big drinker, plus inflated prices]).
The most insane buzz I have ever had of ecstasy in general that feels similar to what you must have had at that Brisk event (Neko) was at History of Hardcore 2009, in London. I hadn't planned on doing anything, just boozing, didn't take anything with me at all. Was a few hours into the rave, having an insane time (had a good hour long full-on dancefloor sesh with the vocalist Nova - great girl - when me and my mate spotted one of our old coke dealers. Was more of a raving mate than just a dealer. Anyways, he mentioned he had these MDMA capsules - 0.2 of a gram. He warned us they were strong, and not to be put off by the 0.2g volume. I was pissed and thought "Fcuk it, why not". Hadn't done any ecstasy in about six months, so my tolerance was low, but FCUKING HELL. The next two hours were a right-off. Remember practically nothing. The buzz was just too powerful and overwhelming. I was powerless. Just riving around on this sofa, semi-upside down, like a little worm. Ahh, not good. Not about that at all. Decided from that night on to only drink at raves.

MDMA you can just wrap up 0.1 or 0.2g in a rizla, keep 3 or so somewhere safe and just whack another down as you feel yourself coming down. What I like about rizlas is that it takes about an hour on an empty stomach to feel the effects as your stomach dissolves the paper, so once you've done the first one it's fun to just totally forget about it and then all of a sudden POW! weak knees, on your arse, great fun, I was talking to technikore once while I was coming up a while ago, had to quickly finish the conversation, shake his hand and then run off somewhere else to let it hit me properly.
It's a real shame about the anti-drug media that goes around, it's difficult to do any damage to yourself on MDMA let alone die, it's a really safe and friendly drug to use. Just as long as you don't do it every weekend and eventually lose the magic. That in mind there is also a lot to be said for raving completely sober. A couple of red bulls through the night and by 6am when everyone looks like a complete washout I still feel nice and clean and happy and any 'comedown' I have is spent sleeping on the train home. I don't really get a comedown off MDMA it's just a bit sad when the effects wear off.
And Jay, history of hardcore was an immense party! I didn't go to the 2009 ones but I was at the feburary 2010 one and it was really great, met loads of people and did some nitrous oxide balloons that they were selling for 50p. I remember that was around the time minimal drops started creeping into hardcore too.
Many people didn't think so but I thought billy bunter did a really great set, he kept building up tarantula by pendulum and then cutting it short into some reggae tune, did this like 5 times before people were begging for it to drop and when it did - pandemonium! also he played "Jump Around" by house of pain (really old hip hop tune) right in the middle of a hardcore set and everyone went off to that too, great fun.

Yeah I almost always check up on that site after taking some.. the problem is that the only time I can buy pills is at events, so I can't just nip back home to the pc, and as jay said, pills are usually shit at events.
I live in manchester and go out about once every 1-2 months... so I really shouldn't have an excuse for not having any contacts seeing as about 10 people ask if I want anything every night out. Whereabouts do you go out?
About going to hardcore events sober.. I can't really get into it anymore, the music at live events is the sort of music you buy and then never listen to (Meh is probably the best explanation of my feelings towards it). I rarely drink anymore and smoke weed almost everyday so it's pretty standard to just go to a rave high, which I enjoy very very much.
Oh and Jay, what were you thinking getting pissed and then taking md? It's really not about drinking when your planning on taking mdma.

There's an old skool field rave on the 25th of June off the M25 with 4 stages/arenas: Acid house/jungle/old skool hardcore/dream.fm 1995-1997 classics. interested? tickets are expensive though but I believe it's been given the go ahead so it shouldn't get shut down. Interested?
