The thing is with drugs, is that it is a business.
Where there is demand, there will be supply.
The only way to fix the drug problem is to kill the demand. Because when one dealer is shut down, ten fight to get in his/her place.
I don't care if you take drugs, just don't do it around me. I've learnt to have fun without drugs.
Just a thought.

i think the police and governments know this, but thats a very very long term goal.. getting rid of dealers and supliers is easier on a short term basis

I think we will all have to accept that for our lifetime at least.. Drugs will always be here, i mean, some are used for medical reason and some not, but there is always gonna be a demand!!
I used to do pretty much any drug under the sun but have grown out of it. I ain't proud but i'm glad i tried it without any long term problems.. Some aren't so lucky.. People just have to know the risks and make up there own minds

I feel exactly the same. I tried pretty much everything myself and now have been of it for a year. Im gflad i am bbut i will never regret having taken them

like the sentiment of the people above me are representing, what do you mean by fix?? what are you identifying as the 'problem'?? just coz you have "learnt to have fun without drugs" (good for you btw), doesn't mean other people are in the wrong and have a 'problem'.

If you eliminate one single dealer it wont have a very big effect of the drug market at all. Theres just to many dealers out there. Besides, you said it yourself, if you eliminate one dealer, theres another person more than willing to take his or her place.

I guess what I'm trying to say is this:
When I mean drugs, (you know what I mean), I mean substances that affect the normal way your body works for purposes other than their original medicianl intent.
If you take drugs, I'm not going to run the police to get you busted for possesion (or whatever). I wouldn't agree with you taking them to have fun/escape reality/fit-in.
Personally, I think that if we *try* to eliminate the demand for them, then people wouldn't deal them, and then people wouldn't buy them, etc, etc...
I'm sure there are hundred of thousands of people who enjoy taking drugs - thats their business. I'm just concerned for their future health.
